Lu Wittenkeller |
Under the direction of Mrs. Lu Wittenkeller, a unique marching group was organized in 2006. The New Young Patriots — this colorful group of young people ages ten and up — are trained by Mrs. Wittenkeller to perform in community events to promote patriotism among our youth. The team learns marching skills, showmanship, and the use of flags, pompoms, and batons.
The first concept that sets Mrs. Wittenkeller and The New Young Patriots apart from other similar classes and teams is that she includes in her lessons the virtues and traditions of America, etiquette, and character training. The second is the team's mission to march, to salute and say thank you to our Armed Forces and veterans, our police and our fire departments, and to honor God and country. |
