| Graduate Courses for Teachers |
| Each year the Broward chapter awards scholarships to Broward teachers covering tuition and expenses to attend the Graduate Courses for Teachers programs. However, the courses are open to all interested teachers. |
| Every summer, Freedoms Foundation provides accredited educational programs that enable teachers to return to their classrooms with a deeper understanding of our nation and history. |
| These programs, taught by noted historians and faculty from leading institutions, give teachers the opportunity to continue their professional development in the areas of American history and contemporary issues pertaining to the American political process. Past programs have included: |

| The Summer 2011 programs feature visits to historical sites, led by noted historians who provide vivid insight, interpretation and perspective to the events and people that shaped American history. |

| Scholarships |
| A limited number of scholarships, provided by supporting organizations and foundations, are available on a first-come, first-served basis. |
| The Broward County chapter will award one full scholarship (includes airfare and tuition) to a Broward history teacher to attend the program of their choice. |

| Tuition |
| Tuition is $1,300 per person, per program. |
| For the first two workshops, tuition covers double occupancy hotel accommodations, admissions and tour transportation (meals not included). |
| For the Revolution in the Middle States workshop, tuition covers lodging at Freedoms Foundation's Valley Forge campus and some meals, instruction, admissions and tour transportation. |
| Accreditation | |
| One graduate credit hour is awarded through Immaculata University for each program attended. Enrolled students who wish to earn either two or three credits must pay Freedoms Foundation $150 for each additional hour. | ![]() |
