The Importance of Voting Youth Essay
Oliver Moll is currently a junior at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale where he is on the dean's  list. His essay, The Importance of Voting, was written in the spring of 2008 when he was a sophomore.

Oliver's interests are sports, politics, cooking, fishing and boating, and serving the disabled population. He participates in school and community athletics — football and baseball — and he is a certified Red Cross Lifeguard.

His other school and community extracurricular activities include participation in the Model United Nations competition at Duke University where he placed first in two categories of the Fairchild Challenge. He is currently a member of St. Thomas's Debate and Forensics team.

As the meritorious awardee in the category of Youth Essay, Oliver received a George Washington Honor Medal Plaque and a $100 United States Savings Bond.
